Porsche has just announced plans to introduce a more elegant version of the Panamera 4 and the Panamera Diesel next month, called the Platinum Edition.

According to the German carmaker, the special edition is available in five exterior colors: black, white, metallic basalt black, metallic mahogany lacquer and metallic carbon grey. To distinguish this special edition from other models, a platinum silver metallic finish can be found on the air-inlet grille lamellas, lower half of the side view mirrors, the trim on the trunk lid, rear diffuser and on the air vent grille on the side for the Turbo model.

Standard features include front parking assist, bi-xenon headlights, automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors, 19-inch alloy wheels with a red, black and gold Porsche crest. In addition, Power Steering Plus and front seat heating are offered as standard.

Inside, the cabin has a bespoke black/luxor beige bi-color combination, a full leather package, a sport steering wheel and Porsche crests on the headrests. There's also “Platinum Edition” door sills and an infotainment system which includes a 7-inch touchscreen display and an 11-speaker 235-watt sound system.

Set to go on sale January 5, the Panamera Platinum Edition has a starting price of €79,707, while the Panamera Diesel Platinum Edition costs €82,206 and the Panamera 4 Platinum Edition retails for €87,323.
