Nissan has teamed up with Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt to create a one-off GT-R.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the special GT-R features a gold exterior, an embossed Usain Bolt signature and interior fittings finished in real gold. The sports car will be auctioned off on eBay towards the end of October to support the Usain Bolt Foundation which creates educational and cultural opportunities for children and young people in Jamaica.
In addition, the world's fastest man will also start work with Nissan product specialists on a limited-edition GT-R Bolt Edition which will be offered worldwide.
Usain Bolt is now the honorary "Director of Excitement" for Nissan as well as a brand ambassador for the GT-R. According to COO Toshiyuki Shiga, "Nissan shares the spirit of excitement that captivated worldwide audiences at the Olympics. There is no-one better qualified than Usain Bolt to help us translate that spirit into great experiences."
