Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary announced

Mercedes-Benz has just announced plans to offer the 45th anniversary edition of the SLS AMG GT3 later this year.
According to the German carmaker, the special version features an exclusive matt paintwork, AMG light alloy wheels in designo magno graphite and a “45 Years of Driving Performance” logo on the gullwing doors. In particular, carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) has been used for the doors, boot lid, hood, mudguards, front/rear apron, rear wings, rear diffuser and front splitter.
Inside, the cabin has a steel roll-over cage finish in design magno graphite to match the exterior, while the center console and the dashboard feature a matte carbon fiber look. The final touch is a special "1 of 5" badge on the seats and center console.
Under the hood, power comes from a 6.3-liter AMG V8 engine which allows the race car to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
Only 5 units will be produced and each of these in Germany has a starting price of €446,250 (approximately $578,530), including VAT.
