Lexus has just unveiled the LF-LC Blue concept at the 2012 Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the coupe is finished in a unique Opal Blue which is inspired by the precious opal stone of outback Australia. The blue shade will be combined with beige leather on the door panels, center console and seats.
The concept uses carbon fiber technology from the LFA supercar and features the next-generation Lexus Hybrid Drive system with a high-energy battery pack. Power comes from a petrol/electric hybrid system with 500 hp, which makes it one of the most powerful hybrid systems in the world.
"LF-LC is part concept, part reality: the concept hints at what’s to come from Lexus, while the reality has us actively studying how we can engineer and build a vehicle like this in the future," said Toyota Australia's Senior Divisional Manager Tony Cramb.
