Kia has teamed up with DC Entertainment and RIDES magazine to create this Batman-inspired Optima, which will be showcased this week at the Time Warner Center in New York City.
According to the South Korean carmaker, the Batman-inspired Optima is just the first from a series of eight vehicles, which are going to be inspired by the characters of the "Justice League". The vehicles will become a force for good in the world by raising awareness of DC Entertainment's "We Can Be Heroes'' campaign, a relief effort to fight famine in Africa.
The special Optima receives a matte- and pain-black exterior paint scheme with yellow accents and features an aggressive body kit, a lowered coilover suspension and Ksport performance brakes. There's also a new set of bespoke 20-inch black alloy wheels and a performance exhaust system.
Other exterior details include a custom front grille shaped like a batwing that took over 40 hours to complete and the iconic bat signal etched into the HID headlights.
Inside, the cabin’s seating surfaces have been wrapped around in black leather and suede with yellow accent stitching, while there's also a Bat suit and cowl awaiting the driver in the trunk.
"Batman is one of the most popular Super Heroes of all-time, and showcasing in a fun and creative way Kia's top-of-the-line Optima SX Limited as a Batman-themed custom ride underscores this car's potent combination of premium features and turbocharged performance," said Michael Sprague, executive vice president, marketing and communications at Kia Motors America.
