Scion has just unveiled the 2013 iQ EV, which is available exclusively in Silver or Super Red.

Designed for "car sharing programs in urban environments", the electric version of the iQ has a two-tone exterior, a front charging port and wider rear bumper. There's also black headlamp casings, black air inlets and wheel caps accented with black vents.

Inside, the cabin features a high-contrast black and white color scheme with metallic accents and ice-blue trim. Other highlights include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and seats, heated front seats, a "strongly contoured" center console and a seven-inch touch screen with GPS navigation

Motivation is provided by a 12 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that produces 64 hp and 163 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 13.4 seconds, hit a top speed of 125 km/h and travel up to 80 km on a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in approximately three hours with a 240V outlet.

The iQ EV has three driving modes: D, B and S. In which, D minimizes power usage in city driving, S gives better acceleration and B improves the efficiency of the regenerative brakes.

Only 90 Scion iQ EVs will be imported to the United States. All will be available for fleet and car-sharing applications. So customers can't buy or lease them.
