Nissan has just announced the all-new Mexico-built Sentra will have a starting price of $15,990 for the base Sentra S and rises to $19,760 for the top-spec Sentra SL CVT. All prices will not include a destination and handling fee of $780.
Set to go on sale in the US on October 16, the compact sedan is powered by a 1.8-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine with 130 hp and 173 Nm of torque. It can either be mated to a six-speed manual or an optional CTV automatic. With the latter equipped, the car can return 30 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway.
The 2013 Sentra comes as standard with four electric windows, MP3-compatible sound system and manual air-con. In addition, an extensive list of optional extras is available, including heated leather-appointed seating surfaces, dual zone automatic climate control, Bose premium audio system, rearview monitor and NissanConnectSM with navigation system.
