Pricing for the 2013 Kia Sorento in the UK has recently been announced. Set to go on sale before Christmas, the model will have a starting price of £26,495.
According to the Korean carmaker, the 7-seat SUV is available in four trim levels - KX-1, KX-2, KX-2 Sat-Nav and KX-3. The entry-level KX-1 comes with chrome trim, body coloured bumpers, cornering lights, LED running lights, Cruise, rear parking sensors and electric folding door mirrors.
Meanwhile, the KX-2 adds a leather instrument panel, auto wipers and 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen (a 7-inch LCD touchscreen on the KX-2 Sat-Nav).
Lastly, the top of the lineup, the KX-3, is fitted with a panoramic roof, electric front seats, heated seats and steering wheel. There’s also a multi-function full colour display, Adaptive Xenons and Flex-Steer.
Motivation is provided by a 2.2-liter CRDI Turbodiesel, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed auto transmission. It allows the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 9.4 seconds with the manual transmission and 9.5 seconds with the auto version.
In terms of efficiency, the car returns 47.9 mpg and CO2 emissions of 155 g/km with the manual. As for the auto, they are 42.2 mpg and 175 g/km.
