Nissan is recalling 2,712 units of the Dualis in Australia due to a problem with the steering wheel boss that could potentially result in a loss of steering in the crossovers.
According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the steering wheel boss, which is connecting to the steering column, may separate from it because of not having the appropriate strength. The affected vehicles are built between 27 February 2012 and 16 May 2012.
The Japanese carmaker says no incidents have been reported, but owners should contact their local Nissan dealership right away to arrange an inspection of the steering wheel boss.
