According to Automobile Magazine, Bugatti will introduce a SuperVeyron at the 2013 IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt.
The magazine reports the SuperVeyron will use more carbon fiber to keep weight down and powered by an upgraded 8.0- or 9.6-liter engine with 1,600 hp. This could allow the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 1.8 seconds, which would better the upcoming Ferrari Enzo replacement and the McLaren P1, and hit a top speed of 463 km/h.
The secret to all this is a weight saving of almost 249 kg over the current SuperSport. At 1,600 kg, the limited-edition Veyron achieves a power-to-weight ratio of one kg per hp.
The Bugatti SuperVeyron is expected to carry a price tag of $2.5 (€1.9 / £1.5) million.
