Audi has just released the first promotional video for the 2013 S3, ahead of its official debut at the Paris Motor Show on Thursday.
As we have previously reported, the hatchback is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter direct-injection 4-cylinder engine with 296 hp at 5,500 rpm and 380 Nm of torque between 1,800 and 5,500 rpm. The power is sent to all-four wheels via a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an optional S tronic dual clutch transmission. The 1,395 kg car takes 5.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h with the S tronic and 5.4 seconds with the manual transmission. The limited top speed is 155 mph.
In terms of efficiency, fuel consumption is 34.1 mpg with the S Tronic or 33.6 mpg with the manual transmission.
