In a recent interview, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed the company is considering an electric supercar.
Additional infomation is limited, but the model will reportedly compete with cars from Ferrari SpA and Volkswagen AG’s Lamborghini. It would also cost more than $200,000.
Speaking with Jalopnik, Musk said "We will do an electric supercar at some point. It was going to happen right after the Model X, but it is more important to the world that we do a more affordable electric car. Hopefully, we will get to an electric supercar in four to five years".
