Porsche Cayenne S Diesel unveiled

Porsche has just unveiled the Cayenne S diesel, ahead of its world premiere at the Paris Auto Show on September 27.
Set to to hit European dealerships in January next year, the most powerful diesel model is powered by a twin-turbo 4.2-liter V8 engine with 382 hp and a peak torque of 850 Nm. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 252 km/h. In terms of efficiency, fuel consumption is just 8.3 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 218 g/km. Porsche says that this is the only V8-powered SUV in the world which comes with the auto start/stop function.
Standard equipment includes Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive, leather interior, dual-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, audio system with seven-inch touch-screen, 8-way powered front seat adjustment, front and rear electric windows, 18-inch alloy wheels and a 100-liter fuel tank extending the range to a distance of around 1,200 km (745 miles) without having to stop to refuel.
The Porsche Cayenne S diesel has a starting price of £58,243 (including VAT) in the UK and €77,684 in Germany (including 19 percent VAT).
