The first pictures of the Peugeot 2008 concept have recently leaked to the web, ahead of its debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.

Essentially an evolution of the Urban concept which debuted earlier this year at the China Auto Show, the model has a yellow exterior with black accents and a new tailgate-mounted spoiler. According to the French carmaker, the 2008 concept previews an upcoming small crossover to rival the Nissan Juke.

Based on the modified version of the new 208, the production model will be introduced sometime next year. Engine options could include a 1.2 VTi with 82 hp, a 1.4 VTi with 95 hp, a 1.6 VTi with 120 hp and a 1.6 THP with 156 hp. Other possibilities include the PSA Peugeot-Citroen's first petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain that will use an internal combustion engine to drive the front wheels and an electric motor to turn the rear wheels.
