The Porsche Cayenne S Diesel has made its world premiere at the two-yearly car show in the French capital.
Set to to hit European dealerships in January next year, the most powerful diesel version is powered by a twin-turbo 4.2-liter V8 engine with 382 hp and 850 Nm of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 252 km/h. Thanks to an engine start/stop system, it returns 8.3-liter per 100 km (28.3 mpg US / 34 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 218 g/km.
According to the German carmaker, the crossover features an active all-wheel drive system which produces the "driving qualities of a rear-wheel drive vehicle" and a 100-liter fuel tank extending the range to a distance of around 1,200 km (745 miles) without having to stop to refuel.
The Porsche Cayenne S Diesel has a starting price of £58,243 (including VAT) in the UK and €77,684 in Germany (including 19 percent VAT).
