The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and Carrera 4S have made their debut at the Paris Motor Show today. Each version is available in both Coupe and Cabriolet.

According to the German carmaker, the models have 22 mm wider rear wheel arches, traditional red light connecting two taillights, a new 4WD indicator, a modified suspension and Porsche Active Safe. In addition, a sliding glass sunroof and a Sport Chrono package are available as options.

Being 65 kg lighter than the outgoing 997 model, the Carrera 4 is powered by a 3.4-liter straight six engine with 350 hp at 7,400 rpm and 390 Nm of torque at 5,600 rpm. It allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds (4.7 seconds for the Cabriolet), before reaching a top speed of 285 km/h (282 km/h for the cabriolet).

Meanwhile, the Carrera 4S gets a 3.8-liter straight six with 400 hp at 7,400 rpm and 440 Nm of torque at 5,600 rpm. The Coupe can run from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and hit a top speed of 299 km/h. For the Cabriolet, there are 4.3 seconds and 296 km/h, respectively.

Both models are matched to a standard 7-speed manual gearbox or an option 7-speed PDK twin-clutch automatic transmission.
