Maserati has officially unveiled the GranCabrio MC at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Inspired by the success of the GranTurismo MC Stradale, the gorgeous sports car features a new front bumper, air outlets on the hood and headlamps with LED daytime running lights. There's also a large rear boot-lid spoiler, a new rear bumper with a diffuser and twin tailpipes, plus 20-inch MD Design wheels with either a glossy or a matte finish wrapped around in 360x32 mm tires at the front and 330x28 mm tires in the back.
Inside the cabin comes with sport seats, an extra 20mm legroom for the rear passengers, a flat-bottom steering wheel with Trofeo-design paddles, aluminum pedals and carbon fiber trim décor.
Motivation is provided by a 4.7-liter V8 engine with 460 hp and a peak torque of 520 Nm at 4,750 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed ZF automatic gearbox which has five operating modes: Auto-Normal, Auto-Sport, Manual-Normal, Manual-Sport and Ice. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 289 km/h.
The GranCabrio MC is also equipped with a stiffer suspension setup with single-rate dampers and Brembo one-piece aluminum alloy brake calipers.
