The 2013 Chevrolet Trax has just made its world premiere today in the City of Light.
Essentially a rebadged Opel / Vauxhall Mokka, the crossover measures 4,248 mm long, 1,776 mm wide and a wheelbase of 2,555 mm. It can accommodate a maximum of 1,370-liter when the seats are folded down.
Under the hood, three different engines are available:
- A 1.6-liter petrol with 115 hp and 155 Nm of torque
- A turbocharged 1.4-liter petrol with 140 hp and 200 Nm of torque
- A 1.7-liter diesel with 130 hp and 300 Nm of torque
According to the North American carmaker, when mated to a manual transmission, the 1.7-liter diesel engine returns 4.5-liter per 100 km (52.3 mpg US or 62.8 mpg UK), while the 1.4-liter turbo engine averages 6.5-liter per 100 km (36.2 mpg US or 43.5 mpg UK). CO2 emissions are 120 and 149 g/km, respectively.
Standard features include ABS with EBD, traction control, hill climb assist, electronic stability control, six airbags and the MyLink system with a seven-inch full color touch-screen display.
Along with the regular versions, Chevrolet also introduced a Manchester United-themed model to celebrate its partnership with the famous UK football team.
The 2013 Chevrolet Trax will go on sale later this year in some 140 countries worldwide.
