The first images of the MINI Paceman, without wearing any sort of camouflage, have recently leaked onto the internet, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

The upcoming Paceman has the same wheelbase and platform as the five-door model but features a decrease in ride height by 0.4 inches, while its roof is sitting 1.7 inches lower compared to the Countryman. In addition, the new model is also 20 kg lighter, which will make it a quicker car.

It will be offered with all the versions from the Countryman: Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper D and Cooper SD. All variants are available with the all-wheel drive ALL4 system as standard.

The British carmaker has also confirmed that there will be two engines available: 120 hp in the standard car and 181 hp in the Paceman S.
