BMW M750i and 728i launching next year

According to BimmerToday, BMW is planning to launch two additional variants of the 7-Series in March of next year.

First up, the M750i (an M Performance variant) is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 450 hp. An optional feature will be the xDrive system. Compared to the standard 750i version, the M750i is equipped with the M Sport package which features a better chassis and improved driving dynamics. When it goes on sale, the M750i will be priced between the 750i and the 760Li.

The other new 7-Series is the 728i, which will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, just like in the Audi A8 Hybrid. In addition to the 245 hp of the petrol engine, the small electric motor will not only increase performance but also reduce fuel consumption significantly, delimiting this new entry-level model from the current 740i.
