MINI has just announced the Countryman John Cooper Works ALL4, which comes with all-wheel drive, will start at $35,550, including a $700 destination and handling fee, when it goes on sale in the United States.
According to the British carmaker, the American-specs crossover is powered by a new 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 208 hp and 260 Nm of torque between 1,850 and 5,600 rpm. It is mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an optional six-speed automatic, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 7 seconds and hit a top speed of 205 km/h.
Standard features include air conditioning, a harman/kardon hi-fi audio system, xenon adaptive headlights, automatically dimming rear-view mirror and exterior mirrors, electrically operated glass sunroof, Park Distance Control and a navigation system.
The new flagship version of the Countryman also features a sports suspension that’s stiffer and lower by 10 mm, strengthened anti-roll bars and 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels.
