The 2013 Honda CR-V will have a starting price of $23,525, including a $200 destination charge, when it goes on sale in the U.S. on September 6. It's a $800 more than the 2012 model.

Under the hood, three engines are available:

A 2.2-liter i-DTEC diesel engine with 148 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque.
CO2 emissions of 149g/km when fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox and
stop-start.
• A 2.0-liter i-VTEC petrol engine with 148 hp and 142 lb-ft of torque. CO2 emissions of 168 g/km in front-wheel drive.
• A new super-frugal 1.6 diesel engine arrives next year.
