According to Ford's latest announcement at the Go Further event in Amsterdam, the upcoming 2013 Mondeo will also be getting the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine which is available in the 2013 Fiesta.
As we have previously reported, this small yet powerful engine, which has won the “2012 International Engine of the Year” award, is capable of producing 123 hp and 170 Nm of torque.
Additional infomation is limited, but the three-cylinder engine promises to have CO2 emissions of less than 130 g/km.
