The 2013 Ford Fiesta facelift has recently been revealed, ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show on September 29.

According to the North American carmaker, the refreshed model comes with a trapezoidal front grille which will also be found on the new Mondeo, revamped headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and a bulging bonnet.

Meanwhile, the interior is not any major changes, except for the new tech goodies, such as the MyKey system which allows owners to configure maximum speeds and audio volume levels that driver aids, the Active City Stop system that helps drivers avoid low-speed collisions, while the Ford SYNC in-car connectivity system allows owners to voice-activate phone calls and music selection from devices connected via Bluetooth or USB, and connect to local emergency services operators after an accident via Emergency Assistance. There's also ESP, curtain and knee airbags.

Under the hood, the most important change is the addition of the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine. The three-cylinder engine, which has won the “2012 International Engine of the Year” award, will produce with 99 hp or 118 hp. The 2013 Fiesta will also be powered by a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 74 hp borrowed from the B-MAX. There's also the hotter ST version which will feature a larger 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine with 177 hp.

The European-market Fiesta will arrive in showrooms in October and pricing will start at £10,000.
