Ford has
recently revealed the 2013 EcoSport will be showcased at the Sydney Motor
Show this year.
According
to the North American carmaker, the fastest Falcon production car will start at
$25,000 and becomes the company’s cheapest SUV, sitting below the Territory and the mid-sized Kuga.
"EcoSport is a tough and robust vehicle and a perfect fit for our SUV portfolio. EcoSport is great for crowded urban streets and it will inspire customers to seek adventure away from the city too. When EcoSport arrives our customers will have more choice", said the Ford Australia president and CEO, Bob Graziano.

Additional
infomation is limited, but the model is powered by Ford’s all-new 1.0-liter 3-cylinder
EcoBoost petrol engine, which has won the “2012 International Engine of the Year” award. The unit combines turbocharging, direct injection and twin
independent variable camshaft timing
(Ti-VCT) to deliver power and performance to rival a traditional
naturally aspirated 1.6-liter petrol powerplant. The tiny engine is available in
74 kW or 92 kW tunes, and 170 Nm of torque between 1,300 rpm and 4,500
rpm.
