Toyota has recently announced the new Auris will be launched in the United Kingdom, after making its official debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the new hatchback, which will be built at Toyota’s Burnaston plant in Derbyshire, measures 4,275 mm long, 1,760 mm wide and 1,460 mm high with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. This means the car is 30 mm longer and 55 mm lower than its predecessor. In addition, the boot capacity is expanded by six liters to 360 liters and the weight is decreased by 40 kg.
Under the bonnet, the base version is offered by a 1.3-liter or 1.6-liter petrol engine, alongside a 1.4-liter diesel, while the Auris Hybrid is expected to get a 1.8-liter petrol engine and an electric motor, along with a nickel-metal hybrid battery setup.
More details will be revealed in France on Septamber 29. Stay tuned!!!
