McLaren has recently announced the 12C Cam-Am Edition Racing Concept will be introduced at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this weekend.

Based on the MP4-12C GT3 racecar, the one-off concept features a new aerodynamic package - which improves downforce by 30 percent - with dive plane winglets, a carbon fiber front splitter, a polished aluminum rear wing and a carbon fiber diffuser. In addition, the supercar also gets an upgrated braking system from Akebono and a set of black satin finished lightweight racing alloy wheels with Pirelli racing slick tires.

Inside, the cabin has a race-spec roll cage, two body-hugging seats with 6-point harnesses, a GT3 steering wheel and and lots of carbon fibre detailing plus air conditioning.

Motivation is provided by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 630 hp. The British carmaker says that the 12C Can-Am has a curb weight of just 1,200 kg.
