Evosport and MBBS Racing have teamed up to build a Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series race car, which will compete in the Pirelli World Challenge GT class.

Set to compete with the Chevrolet Corvette and the Audi R8 LMS, the car is a culmination of a years' worth of development, fabrication and testing. The Evosport-tuned street car was transformed into a race car to be driven by Craig Stanton, a former champion in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, the Rolex Sports Car Series and a multi-time class winner in the American Le Mans Series.

"It has been a long road to get here, but I am very excited that we get to finally take our AMG CLK63 Black Series racing,” said Stanton. “The car is absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait for the racing world to see what the guys at Evosport Engineering have been working on this year. It is a work of art, and in my experience, cars that look fast ARE fast."

The car will debut at the season finale Cadillac Sonoma Grand Prix on August 25.
