Ford has recently announced the Romanian-built B-MAX will start at £12,995 when it goes on sale in United Kingdom this September.
Offered in three trim levels (Studio, Zetec and Titanium), the small MPV is available with a varied choice of engines, from the 3-cylinder 1.0-liter EcoBoost, 1.4- and 1.6-liter gasoline engines, along with 1.5- and 1.6-liter Duratorq diesel engines.
The 1.0-liter engine can return 57.7 mpg UK (with Start/Stop), while CO2 emissions standing at 114 g/km. The 1.6-liter Duratorq TDCi engine makes an estimated fuel economy of 70.6 mpg UK and emits just 104 g/km of CO2. However, this unit is only available on top-notch Titanium trim level. All engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission, withthe 1.6-liter gasoline unit gets a six-speed Powershift automatic transmission.
Standard features include fold-flat passenger seat, DAB and one-hand-one-motion fold flat rear seats. Mid-range Zetec model (£15,600) are equipped with LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, leather-trimmed gear knob and steering wheel, along with chrome finishes for the window and grille surrounds. The higher variant Titanium comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing lights, windscreen wipers, cruise control and uprated stereo with multi-function display.
