German tuner Reil Performance has recently introduced an upgraded version of the limited edition BMW E46 M3 CSL.
Shrouded in a dark blue foil wrap, the bespoke model is outfitted with plexiglass windows, massive rear spoiler and a sports exhaust system. There's also a retuned suspension, high-performance brakes with 6-piston at the front and 4-piston at the rear with brake discs from Porsche GT3, and a new set of BBS Motorsport alloy wheels wrapped in special Yokohama tires.
Motivation is provided by a 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine with 386 hp at 7,900 rpm 370 Nm of torque at 4,900 rpm - an increase of 31 hp, allowing the 1,260 kg car to lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 7:43 minutes. This is seven seconds faster than the time recorded by German magazine Sport Auto in a stock M3 CSL.
The cost of the conversion is €130,000 or about $160,000 at today's exchange rates.
