According to a new report from Autoweek, AMG will develop all future V12 engines for Mercedes-Benz.
Known as a specialty performance division of the German carmaker, AMG already builds the 12-cylinder engines for the S65, SL65, CL65, G65 and even the Pagani Huayra in recent years. So it seems to be a fitting job for the tuning house.
The report notes that the next-generation S600, which is scheduled for 2014, will be the first model to feature the AMG-developed and built V12 engine, which will get more power (expect at least 600 hp) without affecting the fuel consumption or CO2 emissions.
