2013 Toyota Mark X facelift unveiled for Japan

Toyota has just unveiled the 2013 Mark X facelift for the Japanese domestic market.

According to the carmaker, the mid-size saloon measures 4,750 mm long, 1,795 mm wide and 1,435 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. It features redesigned bumpers, LED-infused headlights and a prominent grille with a more pronounced "X" logo. There's also a new set of tail lamps and a trunk-mounted spoiler.

Inside, the cabin comes with 8-way adjustable front seats, a leather steering wheel and shifter with red stitching, rear sunshade and climate control. Higher-end variants such as the Mark X Premium and the sporty 350S G's add leather upholstery, heated front seats and stainless steel door sill plates. There's also an option speedometer that climbs to 180 km/h and an infotainment system with GPS navigation and 12 speakers.

Customers have a choice of 6 exterior colors, including Black, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Ice Titanium Mica Metallic, Dark Red Mica Metallic and Dark Blue Mica.

Under the bonnet, engine options include a 2.5-liter V6 with 200 hp and 243 Nm of torque, or a 3.5-liter V6 with 314 hp and 380 Nm of torque. The power is sent to the rear wheels or all wheels (option) via a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2013 Toyota Mark X has a starting price of 2,440,000 yen or $30,980, with today’s currency conversion rates.
