2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible starts at $60,445

GM has receently announced the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible will start at $60,445, including a $900 destination charge.

According to the North American carmaker, the soft-top version of the ZL1 Coupe is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with 580 hp at 6,000 rpm and 752 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, allowing the sports car to accelerate from 0-96 km/h in 4 seconds and hit a top speed of 296 km/h.

The Camaro ZL1 Convertible will compete with the 2013 Shelby GT500, which comes with a price tag of $59,995 (including a $750 destination charge). For the money, it can provide 650 hp and 812 Nm of torque.

In related news, GM also revealed the price tag for the 2013 Camaro 1LE. Accordingly, it has a starting price of $37,035, including a $900 destination charge.
