U.S. Government’s Environmental Protection Agency has recently rated the 2013 Buick Verano Turbo at 31 mpg highway when equipped with the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a six-speed manual gearbox.
Specifically, the model is rated at 20 mpg city / 31 mpg highway / 25 mpg combined. Those figures put it at exactly 1 mpg behind the base model's naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
According to the North American carmaker, the Verano Turbo is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 250 hp at 5,300 rpm and 353 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in in just 6.2 seconds.
