BMW has recently released new details about the ActiveHybrid 3.
According to the German carmaker, the car is powered by a 302 hp 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine and a 54 hp electric motor. This enables the model to have a combined output of 335 hp, allowing the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. In terms of efficiency, it returns 5.9-liter per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 139 g/km.
An innovative feature of the first ever hybrid variant of the 3-Series is the Eco Pro mode which cuts off the petrol engine during coasting at speeds up to 160 km/h. In addition, the car can travel on full electric range at speeds up to 35 km/h for about 4 km.
