McLaren has just announced the pricing of the MP4-12C Spider in the U.S.
According to the British carmaker, the open top version has a starting price of $268,250 (including $2,500 destination charge). Specifically, the price is $37,250 more expensive than its coupe sibling, but it is still cheaper than the $304,000 base price in the UK.
The convertible has a fabulous roof system which only takes 17 seconds to go up and down and can be operated while on the move up at speeds up to 30 km/h. The supercar is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 625 hp. The power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-Speed SSG dual-clutch transmission with shift paddles located behind the steering wheel.
The first models will arrive at US dealerships in December.
