According to a report from Autocar, Honda has recently approved production of the new Civic Type-R.
The British magazine also says that the model will be announced at the Paris Motor Show and a concept will likely to be previewed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. Then a production version goes on sale, probably within 12 months.
Additional infomation is limited, but power could be provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with approximately 210 hp. It could allow the hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 241 km/h.
