According to a report from the Australian magazine Drive, Ford Performance Vehicles is developing a high-performance Falcon GT, codenamed the "Panther".
The report also says that the fastest Falcon GT of all time will be powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with 449 hp and 570 Nm of torque. This could allow the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 5 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The model will also feature a retuned suspension and wider 19-inch alloy wheels.
Under the plan, the Ford Falcon GT could be introduced at the Sydney Motor Show in October.
