BMW M6 Gran Coupe confirmed for 2013

According to MotorTrend, BMW has recently confirmed the M6 Gran Coupe will be officially unveiled early next year.

Like the BMW M5, the M6 Gran Coupe is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine but it will develop 560 hp and 680 Nm of torque between 1,500 rpm to 5,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Meanwhile, the German carmaker isn’t saying whether a manual will be available as well.

Additional infomation is limited, but rumors saying that the BMW M6 Gran Coupe might be unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show or the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. Then the car will be sold around the world, including in the U.S. market.
