BMW 1-Series M Coupe successor coming in 2014

New details are starting to emerge about the BMW 1-Series M coupe successor.
Set to be called the M235i coupe, the model will be introduced at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show and is based on the 2-Series coupe which is expected to be unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
According to Autoweek, the mechanicals will carryover from the M135i, so you can expect a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 315 hp and 450 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission or an option dual-clutch automatic. Equipped with standard rear-wheel drive, it will also likely be sold with optional four-wheel drive.
