Aston Martin has officially revealed the first pictures and details of the V12 Vantage Roadster, ahead of its official release later this week.

According to the British carmaker, the new roadster comes with a strengthened body structure which was necessary for the folding soft top, modified front and rear suspensions as well as a revised luggage lid and a redesigned rear spoiler. Other modification elements include carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber side strakes, rear lamp black outer trim, a set of new forged alloy wheels, black exhaust pipes and Aston Martin emblems with black background.

For the interior, the black plastic in the centre console is replaced with glass switches. The cabin also gets a Carbon Interior Pack which uses the material for the gearshift surround and the center console.

Motivation is provided by a 6.0-liter V12 engine with 517 hp and 570 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, allowing the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 305 km/h.

Only 101 units will be produced and pricing starts at £150,000.
