According to a recent interview, Aston Martin CEO Ulrich Bez has revealed the brand is considering significantly smaller engines.

Although the V12 and V8 engines have become 25 percent more efficient over the past six years, but Bez believes there is still much work to do. Speaking with Autocar, he said "Four or even three cylinders are possible. If the spirit of the times demands six cylinders, then it has to be looked at".

Bez also assured that if the company made such a move, it would "never undermine exclusivity" as the brand has to remain "special".
