2013 Scion iQ and xD pricing announced

The 2013 Scion iQ and xD pricing have recently announced by the Japanese carmaker.

Including the $755 destination charge, the 2013 iQ will start at $16,140, a $145 more expensive than the 2012 version, while the 2013 xD costs $16,500, a $125 more expensive than the 2012 model.

The 2013 iQ gets with a tray under the front passenger seat, a rear deck box cover and rear speakers. It is $1,145 more expensive than its main competitors on the local market, the 2013 Ford Fiesta which costs $14,995. Fuel-economy ratings have not been released, but the EPA is expected to remain the same as its predecessor, which returns 36 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

Meanwhile, the 2013 Scion xD is available in two exterior colors (Blue Streak Metallic and Black Sand Pearl) and gets additional airbags, a two-tone exterior paint treatment and smoked color headlight housing. Pricing becomes effective starting on August 1.
