Nissan has recently revealed the 2013 Note, ahead of its launch in September.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the JDM-spec Note is designed to become the most user-friendly car in its segment. The model’s most striking design feature is what Nissan calls a ‘Squash Line’, a character line that cuts into the side doors, while the headlamps and taillights have been described using words like “dynamism” and “sophistication”.
Inside, the cabin is relatively spacious and can be equipped with an Around View Monitor, an electronic climate control system and GPS navigation.
In Japan, the Note will have a choice of two engines: a supercharged three-cylinder HR12DDR (DIG-S) and a HR12DE. Both will be mated to a next-generation XTRONIC continuously variable transmission. Nissan says that the supercharged three-cylinder engine, with direct injection, has a fuel economy of 25,2 km/liter.
The European variant will be unveiled early next year and features a more premium interior, more distinctive styling and more focused chassis settings.
