South Korean carmaker Kia has recently announced the 2013 Optima SX Limited will start at $36,050, including a $775 destination charge.

Compared to the $22,175 standard version, the SX Limited, which is based on the Optima SX Turbo, adds an electronic parking brake, wood-grain accents, higher grade nappa leather upholstery, LED lighting, red brake calipers and a fresh set of large 18-inch chrome wheels.

"With the arrival of the Optima SXL, the Kia brand propels itself into a more premium class, which is something consumers have told us they want to see when they walk into our showrooms," said Tom Loveless, Kia Motors America executive vice president in a press release today.

Under the bonnet, the sedan is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo GDI engine producing 274 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque with a fuel-economy of 22/34 mpg (city/highway).
