Yesterday, the 1,000th Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 has rolled off the production line at the Sant’ Agata Bolognese plant.
According to the Italian carmaker, the Argos Orange supercar was delivered to German architect Hans Scheidecker in a special ceremony from Lamborghini President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann.
The Murciélago took two years and five months to reach the 1,000 units compared to the one year and three months it has taken for the Aventador. More notably, the company says that it has enough orders for the next 18 months of production.
As a small reminder, the Aventador is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine with 690 hp and 690 Nm of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed transmission which allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 350 km/h.
