McLaren-Mercedes-SLR 722

Youtuber user Shmee150 has recently spotted this rare Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 in London, UK. It features a crystal antimony grey exterior and an all black interior.

The 722 Edition is a homage by Mercedes to the unforgettable victory won by the British racing legend Stirling Moss and his co-driver Denis Jenkinson in a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR with the starting number 722 (indicating a start time of 7.22 am) at the Mille Miglia in 1955.

Power comes from a supercharged 5.5-litre V8 engine with 650 hp at 6,500 rpm and 830 Nm at 4,000 rpm. This allows the German supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10.2 seconds, 0-300 km/h in 21.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 337 km/h - a increased by 3 km/h over the standard SLR.

Other highlights include a set of 19-inch black light-alloy wheels, larger brake discs with a diameter of 390 mm, a stiffer damper configuration and a ten-millimetre-lower body.
