A team of Bugatti employees has recently tested the Veyron Super Sport at the Nürburgring.

Our source says that the impressive hypercar is trying to set a new lap record. This means it would have to lap the famous Nordschleife in less than 6:48 to beat the Radical SR8LM. And it's getting faster, according to BridgetoGantry.com.

As a small reminder, the Super Sport is powered by a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine with 1,200 hp and 1,500 Nm of torque. This allows the supercar to hit a limited top speed of 415 km/h, but an unlimited version has set a land speed record for production cars in 2010, averaging a top speed of 431 km/h.
