U.S. Government’s Environmental Protection Agency has recently rated the Tesla Model S at 88 MPGe city / 90 MPGe highway / 89 MPGe combined.
Compare to other pure electric cars on the market, the Model S' combined rating is lower than the Honda Fit EV (118 MPGe), Mitsubishi i (112 MPGe), Ford Focus Electric (105 MPGe) and the Nissan Leaf (99 MPGe).
However, the Tesla Model S equipped with an 85 kWh lithium-ion battery can travel up to 426 km on a single charge. This helps it to become a champion of the production electric car.
