The Japanese carmaker Mazda has just introduced the MX-5 Yusho concept the 2012 Auto Mobil International Show (AMI) in Leipzig, Germany.
Named after the Japanese word for "Victory", the concept features a matte white exterior with a carbon fiber rear diffuser and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in semi-click Toyo Proxes R888 tires. Inside, the cabin comes with Recaro sport seats and a suede-wrapped steering wheel.
Thanks to a sports exhaust system, an intercooler, special Cosworth pistons and connecting rods, the supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 238 hp at 6,800 rpm and 274 Nm of torque at 5,400 rpm. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, allowing the car to hit a top speed of 240 km/h.
A German importer of Mazda said production will be limited to 100 units.
